§ 70.096 LICENSE TAG DISPLAYED.
   (A)   No person shall drive or cause to be moved onto any road, street or highway of the city any motor vehicle or other vehicle required by state law to display license plates unless the vehicle displays on the rear thereof the current year's license plates as hereinafter required.
   (B)   (1)   Every motor vehicle is required to display on the rear thereof the current year's license plates issued by the state, any other state in the United States, United States Government or other officially recognized sovereignty.
      (2)   The license plate shall be securely attached to the rear of the vehicle, except truck-tractor plates which shall be attached to the front of the vehicle. The license plate, decal and all letters and numbers shall be clearly visible at all times.
      (3)   The operation of the vehicle upon which the license plate is covered, overlaid or otherwise screened with the material, whether the material be clear, translucent, tinted or opaque, shall be an offense of this section.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to have attached to a vehicle a license plate or a decal, which is not properly registered to the vehicle to which it is attached when driven upon any road, street or highway of the city.
   (D)   All dealer and used dealer temporary license plates shall be displayed in accordance with Oklahoma State Law Title 47, Chapter 74, Section 1137.1, and Section 1137.3.
   (E)   It shall be unlawful to operate a motor vehicle in violation of this section.
