(a) No person shall install or operate an alarm system within the City without first having obtained a permit for the installation and operation thereof. A separate permit is required for each alarm system site.
(b) The Division of Permits shall issue an alarm system permit to any applicant who completes the application form set forth hereinafter, and pays the fee established in Section 1327.08.
(c) All applications for an alarm system permit shall include the following, to wit:
(1) The name, address and telephone number of:
A. The person making such application.
B. The person owning the alarm system.
C. The person or persons having physical charge or responsibility for the alarm system at the alarm system site, and designated to act on behalf of a principal.
(2) A description of the alarm system by type or model, method of operation and place of installation, and a designation as to residential or commercial character;
(3) Such other information which, in the opinion of the Division of Permits is pertinent to the issuance of a permit under this chapter and the subsequent enforcement of the same.
(d) No alarm system permit shall be transferred to any other person, firm or corporation other than that to whom the original permit is issued, no permit may be altered or changed except by and with the consent of the Division of Permits in writing.
(e) Unless otherwise revoked by application of Section 1327.07 all permits issued under the authority of this chapter shall remain in full force and effect from the date of issuance until September 30 in the second calendar year following the calendar year of issuance. Upon renewal of a permit, such renewed permit shall remain in full force and effect for a period of three years. The method of reissuance of a permit shall be the same as for the issuance of a new permit.
(f) All alarm systems presently in operation anywhere in the City, at the time of the enactment of this chapter shall be amenable to the provisions hereof forthwith provided, however,that the owners of such previously installed alarm systems shall have until September 30, 1987 in which to comply with all of the provisions set forth herein as to application and granting of a permit.
