1313.05 PLACARDING.
   (a)   Placarding of Structure. After the condemnation notice required under the provisions of this code has resulted in an order of virtue of failure to comply within the time given, the code official may post on the premises, structure or parts thereof, or on defective equipment, a placard bearing the words: WARNING This property has been determined by the Safety Service Director to be unfit for human habitation and in violation of the Belpre City Housing Code. It shall be unlawful for this building to be rented, leased or occupied from the date of this notice or until all repairs required by the Code have been made in a manner satisfactory to and approved in writing by the Safety Service Director, subject to occupants being given a reasonable time thereafter to vacate. Mutilation or unauthorized removal or defacing of this placard shall be an offense punishable under Section 1313.09 of the Belpre City Code.
   (b)   Prohibited Use. Any person who shall occupy a placarded premises or structure or part thereof, or shall use placarded equipment, and any owner or person responsible for the premises who shall let anyone occupy a placarded premises shall be liable for the penalties provided by this code.
   (c)   Removal of Placard. The code official shall remove the condemnation placard whenever the defect or defects upon which the condemnation and placarding action were based have been eliminated. Any person who defaces or removes a condemnation placard without the approval of the code official shall be subject to the penalties provided by this code.
