(A) General. No person may park any vehicle or permit it to stand in or along the right-of-way of the following:
Beech Mountain Parkway (N.C. 184) | Within the town from the south town limits to a point 1.4 miles north to the end of State Department of Transportation maintenance, except those segments described in Sch. II below. |
(B) Installation of signs. The Secretary of the State Department of Transportation or his or her designee shall install the appropriate "No Parking" signs to identify the areas described above in which parking is prohibited along the Beech Mountain Parkway.

(A) A person may parallel park a vehicle in any of the following locations along Beech Mountain Parkway (N.C. 184):
(1) In the paved parking spaces located on the right of the southbound lane 700 feet from the south town limits; and
(2) In the paved parking spaces located on the right of the northbound lane six-tenths miles from the south town limits.
(B) All vehicles parked within the areas described above must be parked completely within the white lines which set forth the boundaries of the parking spaces.

Any violation of this chapter shall subject the offender to a civil penalty in the amount of $10 to be recovered by the town. Violators shall be issued written notice of the violation which must be paid within 30 days after receipt of the notice. If the violator does not pay the penalty within 30 days, the town may recover the penalty in a civil action.
