The Commission is established by the City Council to strengthen connections within the community by being committed to the philosophy of inclusion, equal opportunity, fair treatment for all residents of the city, and promoting harmonious relations among the citizens of the city. It is created to recommend programs, activities, ordinances, expenditures, and other appropriate governmental and community-based activities that will serve the goal of maintaining respectful interactions and growing relationships among diverse groups within the community.
