(A) The members of the Economic Development Commission shall be appointed as provided by law. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to appoint the Board of three members to be known as the Economic Development Commission, who shall be nominated and appointed in the manner and for the terms of office as now or hereafter provided by law.
(B) The members of the Economic Development Commission shall have and exercise the powers and duties now and hereafter prescribed by law. They shall perform and exercise these powers and duties in the manner now and hereafter prescribed by law.
