(A) Under the provisions of I.C. 36-10-3-1 et seq., as amended, known and hereby cited as the park and recreation law, there is hereby established a Department of Parks and Recreation composed of the Board of Parks and Recreation, a Park Superintendent, and any other personnel that the Board shall determine.
(B) The Board shall be composed of five members. The Mayor shall select four regular members based on their interest in and knowledge of parks and recreation but not more than two of the regular members may be affiliated with the same political party. The Board shall also include an ex officio member from the North Lawrence School Corporation's Board of Trustees to be appointed by the Board of Trustees.
