§ 112.44 BAGGAGE.
   Every passenger in any taxicab shall be allowed to have conveyed with him or her in the vehicle, without charge therefor, his or her ordinary light traveling baggage in an amount not to exceed 100 pounds in weight.

§ 112.45 RATE CARD TO BE POSTED.
   The operator of a taxicab business shall have printed on a card the maximum fare and rate for transportation of passengers, together with the prevailing schedule of rates for the taxicab. This card shall be prominently displayed in each taxicab so that it can readily be seen and read by all passengers.

§ 112.46 TAXICABS TO BE KEPT CLEAN.
   Every taxicab shall be kept in as good state of repair and in as clean and sanitary a condition as on the date of the issuance of its certificate of inspection. The Traffic Division of the Police Department shall inspect each vehicle licensed as a taxicab at least one time in each calendar quarter of each calendar year. The Traffic Division of the Police Department may make additional and separate inspections of any licensed vehicle at any time during the term of the license. If a taxicab is not in a good state of repair or is not being maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, the Inspector may order the operator to remove the vehicle from service until the conditions are corrected. In the event that the vehicle is not immediately removed from service, the Chief of Police shall file a complaint with the appropriate court for the revocation or suspension of the license of the operator of the taxicab business.

PASSENGER REGULATIONS
§ 112.55 PASSENGER VIOLATION.
   Any passenger in a taxicab who violates any state law or city ordinance may be ejected from the vehicle by the driver thereof. If the passenger has paid his or her fare in advance the driver shall return to him or her the unearned balance of the fare.

§ 112.56 REFUSAL TO PAY FARE.
   No person who employs any taxicab and who has been conveyed therein shall refuse to pay for his or her passage. Whoever, with intent to defraud the owner or driver of any public vehicle, engages carriage therein, shall be fined as provided in § 112.99. Refusal to pay the lawful charge for his or her carriage or absconding without payment or offer to pay, shall be evidence of the intent to defraud.
