SECTION 12.02.02. REFERRED TO COMMITTEE.

The Clerk of Council shall within twenty (20) days from the date of filing such petition determine the sufficiency thereof, and if found sufficient, the Council shall at the next regular meeting have the request read and referred to an appropriate committee which may be a committee of the whole.

The committee shall report its recommendations on the request to the Council not later than forty-five (45) days following the date on which the petition was certified as sufficient to the Council by the Clerk of Council. (Amended November 3, 1987)
