(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
(B) Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any provision of §§ 31.20 to 31.28 or who shall fail to comply with any directive issued pursuant thereto shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation continues after notice has been served shall constitute a separate offense.
