Neither grant of authority set forth in § 31.05 shall be construed as constituting the borough’s Fire Department as an agent, department, or employee of the borough, except insofar as such effect is provided under the provisions of the Act of June 2, 1915 (Pub. Law 736, No. 338), known as the “Pennsylvania Workmen’s Compensation Act,” or its amendments.
