(A) The borough hereby grants authorization to the borough’s Fire Department to engage in fund raising activities, such as fairs, carnivals, bingo, banquets, barbecues, donkey baseball, and other similar fund raising activities to the extent allowed by law and deemed necessary by the officers of the Fire Department.
(B) Authorization is also granted for the Fire Department to participate in firefighter’s training schools, conventions, meetings, and civic functions of the type customarily attended by, and participated in, by volunteer fire company members; provided, that such participation is also authorized by the appropriate officers of the borough’s Fire Department.
