(a) When the Director determines that discharge of wastewater is taking place, has been taking place or may take place, in violation of prohibitions or limitations prescnbed in this chapter, or wastewater source control requirements, effluent permit limitations or pretreatment standards, the Director may require the user to submit for approval, with such modifications as is deemed necessary, a detailed time schedule of specific actions which the user shall take in order to prevent or correct a violation of requirements.
(b) A person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 1040.99(a).
