ORDINANCE 23-64
AMENDING THE LIQUOR CODE FOR THE ALLOWANCE OF PACKAGED LIQUOR SALES BY A CLASS K LICENSE HOLDER
 
WHEREAS, the Batavia Park District holds a variety of well-attended, safe, and vibrant events.
WHEREAS, the current liquor code does not allow for a park district to sell packaged liquors.
WHEREAS, the Batavia Park District has requested the ability for vendors to sell packaged wine at an upcoming event.
NOW THEREFORE, be it hereby ordained by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Batavia, Kane and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: Amending the Overlay Package License
Section 3-3-16 (C) of the City of Batavia Code is amended as follows:
Overlay Package License: The holder of a Class A or D license to sell alcoholic liquor at retail for consumption on the premises, or a holder of a Class K (Park District) license, may obtain an overlay package license to be able to sell at retail packaged alcoholic liquor limited to beer, wine or liqueur for consumption off the premises.
