(A) Any individual who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject for each offense to a fine or penalty not to exceed $500 or to imprisonment for a period not to exceed one year.
(B) Violation of the provisions of this chapter or failure to comply with any of its requirements shall subject the offender to a civil penalty of $25 per violation, plus court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees, which shall be recovered by the city in a civil action in the nature of a debt if not paid by the offender within 30 continuous calendar days after citation for the violation offense or other failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter. The penalty provided herein shall be in addition to any penalty provided for in § 118.99(A).
