ADOPTING ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. 139
   AN ORDINANCE ENACTING A CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY OF BARDSTOWN, KENTUCKY, CODIFYING, RENUMBERING, REVISING, AND REARRANGING EXISTING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY AND MAKING SAID CODE A PART OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF THE CITY.
   WHEREAS, the present general ordinances of the City of Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky, are inadequately arranged and classified and are insufficient in form and substance for the complete preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare of the municipality, and the proper conduct of its affairs;
   WHEREAS, pursuant to authorization by the Council, the W. H. Anderson Company, in cooperation with the City Attorney has duly codified, revised, rearranged, published, and printed all of the ordinances of the City of Bardstown of a general nature in force on March 8, 1977, and
   WHEREAS, notice of the proposed adoption of said codification of ordinances was given in accordance with the provision of Section 82.080 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
   NOW THEREFORE the BOARD OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARDSTOWN, NELSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. Said codification of ordinances is hereby approved, adopted, and designated as the Code of Ordinances of the City of Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky, and made a part of the public records of the City.
SECTION 2. Said Code of ordinances contains all of the provisions of a general and permanent nature pertaining to the subjects therein enumerated and embraced. All prior ordinances pertaining to the subjects treated in said Code shall be deemed repealed from and after the effective date of said Code insofar as said ordinances are included therein. All ordinances of a temporary or special nature and all other ordinances pertaining to subjects not enumerated and embraced in said Code of Ordinances shall remain in full force and effect unless therein repealed by necessary implication.
SECTION 3. Said Code of Ordinances shall be published in book form and shall become effective as provided by law.
