§ 113.02 OCCUPATIONAL BUSINESS LICENSE REQUIREMENT.
   (A)   Any person who is an itinerant merchant, peddler, or solicitor shall obtain an occupational business license before engaging in such activity within the city.
   (B)   An applicant may secure a business license under this chapter for up to one consecutive month per calendar year. The fee for a peddler or solicitor business license required by this chapter shall be as follows:
      (1)   Each day - $100.
      (2)   Each week - $250.
      (3)   Each month - $500.
      (4)   The fees set forth above shall cover up to four peddlers or solicitors under one application applied for by a single company.
   (C)   An itinerant merchant may secure a business license under this chapter for up to one consecutive month per calendar year for $1,000.
   (D)   No peddler or solicitor shall engage or attempt to engage in the business of peddling or soliciting prior to 10:00 a.m. or at any time after 6:00 p.m., or at any time on a Sunday or on a state or national holiday.
   (E)   This chapter is not the exclusive method of regulating peddlers or solicitors.
   (F)   No peddler or solicitor shall engage or attempt to engage in the business of peddling or soliciting at any home, residence, apartment complex or business that prominently displays a “No Peddlers”, “No Solicitors”, or “No Trespassing” sign or any other similar sign that communicates the occupants’ desire to not be contacted by peddlers or solicitors.
   (G)   Once a peddler or solicitor has secured a business license as set forth in division (B) above, he or she shall receive no credit for a business license for a shorter period, which he or she previously purchased, in securing a new business license for a longer period of time.
   (H)   No business license required under this chapter shall be transferable.
   (I)   All business licenses issued by the Tax Administrator under this chapter shall expire as follows:
      (1)   Day. Any business licenses issued per day shall be for a 24-hour period which shall be designated by the applicant and placed on the business license.
      (2)   Week. Business licenses issued per week shall be for a period commencing at 8:00 a.m. on the date on which the business license is issued and ending at 6:00 p.m. on the eighth calendar day thereafter, excluding Sunday. The eight-day period shall be designated by the applicant and placed on the business license.
      (3)   Month. Business licenses issued per month shall be for a period commencing at 8:00 a.m. on the date on which the business license is issued and ending at 6:00 p.m. on the thirtieth calendar day thereafter. The 30-day period shall be designated by the applicant and placed on the business license.
