Under the direction and control of the Village Council, the Director of Public Works shall, except as otherwise provided by general law: Supervise construction, repair and maintenance of all streets, alleys, sidewalks and other public ways; direct the operation, repair and maintenance of all Municipal public works; and perform such other duties as may be required of him or her by this Charter or by the Council.
