SECTION 8.1 DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS; SELECTION, QUALIFICATIONS AND TENURE.

There shall be a Department of Public Works, the head of which shall be the Director of Public Works, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval of the Council. The Director of Public Works shall be a person of proven executive and administrative ability, and shall have experience and training in the field of Municipal public works.
