The Village Attorney may recommend and the Mayor may, with the consent and approval of Council, employ one or more attorneys to assist the Village Attorney in the discharge of his or her official duties. Such Assistant Village Attorney or Attorneys shall possess the same qualifications as the Village Attorney, except as to the length of professional experience, and, under the direction and supervision of the Village Attorney, shall assist the Village Attorney in his or her duties.
