The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to mark fire lanes on any public property, and any private property, devoted to public use, where, in his opinion, such marking is necessary for the safety of the residents and their property.
Parking of motor vehicles or otherwise obstructing such fire lanes shall be prohibited at all times.
The Chief of Police and all other members of the Police Department are hereby authorized to remove a vehicle from a fire zone to the nearest garage or other place of safety.
