715.05 ROUTINE AUDIT AND EXAMINATION OF PAWN SHOPS.
   In order to assure compliance with this article, the Chief of Police or his/her designee may conduct a physical audit and examination of a pawn shop not more than one time a year. If the Police Chief has reasonable cause to believe that unlawful or fraudulent activity has occurred, either the Police Chief or his/her designee may audit and examine a pawn shop on a more frequent basis than one time per year. If it is determined that unlawful or fraudulent activity has occurred, the City may recover the reasonable cost of investigating and uncovering the activity.
