§ 71.21 OBEDIENCE TO TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES REQUIRED; EXCEPTION.
   (A)   The driver of any vehicle shall obey the directions of any official traffic control device placed in accordance with the traffic ordinances of this town, subject to certain exceptions which are granted to the driver of any authorized emergency vehicle in § 70.28, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
   (B)   No provision of this traffic code which provide for signs shall be enforced against an alleged violator if, at the time and place of the alleged violation, the official sign is not in proper position or is insufficiently legible to an ordinarily observant person. Whenever a particular section of this traffic code does not stipulate signs, that section shall be effective without signs being placed to give notice thereof.
