The Planning Commission of the City shall consist of the Mayor, or a person appointed by the Mayor to act in his or her stead as his or her deputy, one (1) member of Council to be selected by the President of Council for a term not to exceed his or her term as a member of Council, and three (3) electors of the City not holding other Municipal office or appointment. The three (3) elector-members shall be appointed by the Mayor for terms of six (6) years each, except that of the three (3) elector-members appointed for the term beginning January 1, 1962, one (1) shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years, one (1) for a term of four (4) years and one (1) for a term of six (6) years.

(a) Commencing with the first pay period of 2020, each of the members of the Planning Commission shall receive annual compensation in an amount to be established by City Council in its annual “Ordinance Establishing Compensation for Full and Part-time Administrative Positions Not Covered by Any Collective Bargaining Agreement,” payable on a monthly basis.
(b) Commencing with the first pay period of 2020, the annual salary of the Chairperson of the Planning Commission shall be one and one-half times the compensation paid to other members of the Planning Commission as set forth in division (a) above and payable on a monthly basis.
