TORT CLAIMS AGAINST TOWN
§ 34.01 CLERK-TREASURER TO RECEIVE NOTICE.
   The Town Clerk-Treasurer is hereby designated as the town official to receive notice of a tort claim under I.C. 34-13-3-1 et seq.
§ 34.02 FORM AND SERVICE OF NOTICE.
   (A)   The notice of a tort claim against the town must be in writing and must be delivered in person or by registered or certified mail.

   (B)   The notice must comply with the provisions of I.C. 34-13-3-1 et seq.
ACCESS TO PUBLIC RECORDS
§ 34.20 ADOPTION OF ACCESS TO PUBLIC RECORDS AS LOCAL POLICY.
   The Town Council of the Town of Atlanta, as the legislative body of the town, hereby declares:
   (A)   That it is the public policy of Atlanta that all persons are entitled to full and complete information regarding the availability of public records of the town except for those records, if any, which are specifically exempted by law.
   (B)   That this subchapter by its adoption of provisions of I.C. 5-14-3 et seq. shall be construed according to the policy and direction of that statute.
