(a) (1) Registration and license fees shall be paid by the operator to the Code Enforcement Officer or his or her designee at the time the application provided for in § 816.03 is filed.
(2) Such fees shall be as follows:
A. For each juke box, a fee in the amount set forth by the Board of Commissioners in the fee resolution per year or fraction thereof;
B. For each mechanical or electronic amusement device, a fee in the amount set forth by the Board of Commissioners in the fee resolution per year or fraction thereof; and
C. For each pool table, a fee in the amount set forth by the Board of Commissioners in the fee resolution per year or fraction thereof.
(3) However, for 1982, the fees due and payable shall be one-half of the amounts set forth in this subsection (a).
(b) No deductions or refunds of a fee shall be granted in case a fee is payable for less than a full calendar year or in case a device is destroyed, stolen, sold or otherwise disposed of or transferred after payment of the fee. If the registration of a device is transferred, there shall be a transfer fee of an amount set forth by the Board of Commissioners in the fee resolution for such device.
(c) If an original license or seal is lost, defaced or destroyed, the person to whom such license or seal was issued shall apply to the Code Enforcement Officer or his or her designee, who will then issue a new license or seal, upon payment of a fee in the amount set forth by the Board of Commissioners in the fee resolution.
(d) The fees identified in this section shall be waived for any organization that is a registered non- profit organization either with the commonwealth, Internal Revenue Service or other verifiable jurisdiction. This waiver does not relieve the establishment from registering with the Township Code Enforcement Office and obtaining an annual license. Proof of the organization’s current non-profit status shall be submitted with the application annually. Failure to provide annual verification of an organization’s current non-profit status will render this waiver null and void.
