(A) Each fire fighter shall enter city service as a probationary fire fighter and shall serve a probationary period of one year, as herein prescribed, with all pay benefits, and allowances pertinent thereto. This probation can be extended at the discretion of the Fire Chief.
(B) He or she shall perform to the best of his or her ability, all duties assigned to him or her and shall be subject to the same disciplinary measures as every other member of the Ashland Fire Department, including, but not limited to, written or oral reprimand, suspension, and termination of employment as provided in § 33.28 of this code.
