The layout of a subdivision shall conform to the major street plan and other parts of the adopted master plan.
(A) Whenever a tract to be subdivided embraces any part of a highway, primary or secondary thoroughfare, or parkway, as designated on the major street plan, that part of the public way shall be platted by the subdivider in the location and at the width indicated on the plan.
(B) Where a proposed park, playground, or other recreational area; proposed school site; or other public ground, shown on the adopted school plan or park and playground plan or other adopted part of the master plan is located in whole or in part within the proposed subdivision, the proposed public ground or park, if not dedicated to the city, the county, or the Board of Education, shall be reserved for a period of not less than one year from the date of final approval of the final plat by the Planning Commission, for acquisition by the city, the county, or the Boards of Education concerned, by purchase or other means.
