§ 151.02 ADOPTION OF STANDARDS OF SAFETY; NATIONAL FIRE CODE.
   (A)   The 2006 Kentucky Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code) as promulgated in 815 KAR 10:060 by the Commissioner of the Department of Housing, Building and Construction on the advice and recommendation of the State Fire Marshal, is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in full. A copy shall be kept in the office of the Fire Chief at all times.
   (B)   The 2006 Edition of the National Fire Code and all codes a part thereof, as promulgated by the National Fire Protection Association, Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts 02269, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the Fire Chief of the City of Ashland, is hereby adopted in full by reference, as if set out in full. A copy shall be kept in the office of the Fire Chief. The Fire Chief shall at all times keep in his or her possession for reference a copy of the 2006 Edition of the Uniform Fire code and/or any future codes adopted by the NFPA.
   (C)   The Ashland Fire Department shall be designated as the local enforcement agency for the Standards of Safety and National Fire Code as appointed by the Ashland Board of City Commissioners.

   (D)   All final decisions of the fire code official of the city shall be appealable to a local appeals board pursuant to the procedures adopted by the Ashland Board of City Commissioners.
