(A) From and after the effective date of this section, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to place, park, or leave standing any semitrailer on any public road, street, avenue, alley, or boulevard, bridge, viaduct, or trestle and the approaches to them within the city. Furthermore, and in addition, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to place, park or leave standing any vehicle and any towed unit of declared gross weight of 26,000 pounds or more upon any public road, street, avenue, alley or boulevard, bridge, viaduct or trestle and the approaches to them within any of the residential districts delineated and defined within the City Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map as adopted or modified from time to time.
(B) It shall not be a violation of this section to place, park, or leave standing a semitrailer or any vehicle and any towed unit of declared gross weight of 26,000 pounds or more upon any public road, street, avenue, alley, boulevard, or other location designed for the purpose of loading or unloading the vehicles.
(C) The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to take appropriate steps to enforce the provisions of this section.
(D) The Director of Public Services is hereby authorized and directed to install appropriate signs to carry the provisions of this section into effect.
