It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to disobey the instructions of any traffic sign or signal placed in view by the authority of the Board of City Commissioners or in accordance with KRS Chapter 189 except upon the direction of a police officer. All signs and signals established upon the direction of the Board of City Commissioners shall conform to the rules and regulations which have been established by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
