§ 35.01 ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS REQUIRED.
   (A)   The following stand regarding attendance at regular meetings of commissions appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval of the Board of Commissioners, or by the City Manager with the consent and approval of the Board of Commissioners is hereby established. Unless otherwise established by ordinance, any member of such a commission who shall be absent from three (3) consecutive meetings of the commission may be legally removed because of the absences by the person authorized to make appointments to that commission. Removal shall be in the sole discretion of the appointing authority, but, in the event that the appointment of the member required the approval or consent of the Board of Commissioners, the removal of the member on this ground shall likewise require approval or consent of the Board of Commissioners. Certification of such absences by the secretary of the involved commission shall constitute sufficient proof to justify removal.
   (B)   This section shall not affect any commission established by state statute, the terms of which conflict with any provision hereof.
