9-10-1: GENERAL OFF STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Parking Space And Driveway Dimensions: The minimum size of required parking space shall be a width of nine feet (9') and a length of twenty feet (20').

   B.   Location Of Spaces On Separate Lots: Parking space may be provided on a separate lot if within three hundred feet (300') of a building, and two (2) or more owners may join together in the provision of this parking space. (1996 Code § 17.40.040)
   C.   Parking Certain Vehicles In Residential Districts Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any truck tractor and semitrailer, the truck tractor individually, or the semitrailer individually, to park anywhere within any residential district of the city. (1996 Code § 17.40.060; amd. 2002 Code)
   D.   Additional Parking Restrictions: It shall be unlawful to park, stand, or permit to remain any recreational vehicle (RV), boat, bus, or any similar type vehicle in or on any street, highway, or public alley within the city for longer than seventy two (72) consecutive hours. Removal of any above described vehicle for any period of less than seven (7) consecutive days, or incidental movements of the vehicle of a distance from the original parked location within a radius of less than one thousand three hundred twenty feet (1,320'), shall not be considered in determining the length of time the vehicle has been parked or permitted to stand and/or remain. At no time shall the recreational vehicle (RV), boat, bus, or any similar type vehicle be used as a living quarters or for habitation while parked on any street, highway, or public alley within the city for any period of time greater than the initial seventy two (72) hour period as provided in this subsection. It shall further be unlawful for any person at any time to park, stand, or permit to remain any house trailer or manufactured/mobile home on any street, highway, or public alley within the city.
The terms used in this subsection shall have the meanings ascribed to them by the motor vehicle code of the state of New Mexico. (Ord. 969, 6-9-2015)
9-10-2: REQUIRED OFF STREET PARKING SPACES:
Off street parking shall be provided in amounts not less than those listed below:
One-family and two-family dwellings and manufactured/mobile homes
2 spaces per dwelling unit or manufactured/mobile home
Multi-family dwellings containing 3 or more dwelling units
11/2 spaces per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwellings for the elderly only
1/2 space per dwelling unit, plus 1 space for each 2 employees and 1 space per 5 dwelling units for visitors
Residential hotel, rooming house or boarding house
4 spaces per 5 guest accommodations
Hotel and motel
11/4 spaces per guestroom or suite
Convalescent hospital, nursing home, rest home for the aged
11/4 spaces per 2 beds
Hospital
11/2 spaces per bed
Church or mortuary
1 space per 3 seats or every 6 feet of bench length in the main auditorium
All schools, except senior high schools
2 spaces per each teacher and employee, plus off street student loading and unloading facility
Senior high school
1 space for each teacher and employee, plus 1 space for each 6 students
Bowling alley
5 spaces per lane, plus 1 space per 2 employees
Retail store, medical and dental clinic, library or museum
1 space per 400 square feet of gross floor area, plus 1 space per every 2 employees
Service or repair shop, retail store handling exclusively bulky merchandise, such as automobiles and furniture, bank, office building (except medical and dental)
1 space per 600 square feet of gross floor area, plus 1 space per 2 employees
Eating or drinking establishments
1 space per 250 square feet of gross floor area
Manufacturing or industrial use, warehousing and wholesaling establishments
1 space per 800 square feet of gross floor area
Places of public assembly, including auditoriums and theaters
1 space for each 4 seats provided
Institutions, clubs, lodges and other public and semipublic buildings
1 space for each 1,000 square feet of floor area
Parking requirements for uses not listed
Shall be determined by the planning and zoning commission based upon the criteria that the parking needs of any use shall be provided off the street

9-10-3: OFF STREET LOADING REQUIREMENTS:
   A.    At least the amount of off street loading space set out in subsection B of this section shall be provided, plus an area or means adequate for maneuvering, ingress and egress. Off street loading space is not required for single-family and multi-family dwellings, commercial, recreation and similar type buildings of fifteen thousand (15,000) square feet or less when approved by the planning and zoning commission.    B.    Each berth shall be at least ten feet (10') wide, thirty five feet (35') long and fourteen feet (14') high. The number of berths required shall be as follows:
