(A) In order to make the most of the opportunities related to the subdivision and to conserve time, effort and expense, the subdivider should consult with the Commission, the Engineer designated by the Commission and other public officials prior to the preparation of the provisional plat, school and recreational sites, shopping centers, community facilities, sanitation, water supply, drainage and thorough fares; and relationship to other developments.
(B) The subdivider should also request a national cooperative soil survey map with interpretation and limitations for the intended usage; request conservation planning assistance from the County Soil and Water Conservation District; check with County Surveyor concerning legal drains on tract and adjoining properties; check with the state’s Department of Natural Resources, Division of Water, concerning flood plains on tract or adjoining properties; and check with the County Highway Department or city street concerning road construction, roads, ditch specifications, culverts and the like, private drain tile on tract and adjoining properties.
