§ 5-6.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to open, conduct, or carry on, or to participate in the opening, conducting, or carrying on, of a dance or dances in any public hall, public ballroom, or any other place in the city where an admission fee or charge of any kind or nature is collected without first securing a license therefor from the city as provided in this chapter. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to dance halls which have obtained permits from the Council as authorized by this code.
