In this subtitle, the following words have the meanings indicated.
(1) "Contraband" means personal property that is illegal to possess under federal, State, or local law.
(2) "Department" means the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
(3) "Found property" means personal property that has been found by an individual and delivered to the Department pending identification of the owner, but the term does not include firearms seized or held pursuant to the Criminal Procedure Article, § 13-201, of the State Code, motor vehicles, or contraband.
(4) "Unclaimed property" means abandoned, lost, or stolen personal property that has remained in the possession of the Department for at least 60 days or lawfully seized personal property that has remained in the possession of the Department for at least 60 days after the conclusion in the court of last resort of the criminal case associated with its seizure, but the term does not include firearms seized or held pursuant to the Criminal Procedure Article, § 13-201, of the State Code, motor vehicles, or contraband.
