§ 6-2-102. Appointments by County Executive, County Council.
   (a)   County Executive – Limitations on appointment of relatives. The County Executive may not appoint to a position in the exempt service the County Executive's spouse, parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or the spouse of any of them.
   (b)   County Council – Limitations on appointment of relatives. The County Council may not appoint to the position of Administrative Officer to the County Council, Assistant Administrative Officer to the County Council, Legislative Counsel to the County Council, or County Auditor any Councilmember's spouse, parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or the spouse of any of them. A member of the County Council may not appoint to the position of Legislative Assistant any Councilmember's spouse, parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or the spouse of any of them.
