The City Council finds and determines that persons should be protected from the unintentional viewing of the slaughtering of animals and due to an increase in the slaughtering and butchering of animals in residential areas, it is necessary to place restrictions on this activity. No person shall kill any animal in the City of Anaheim in order that it may be sold or used as food, except:
(a) Poultry or fowl may be slaughtered and butchered on estates on one-half acre or more;
(b) In an enclosed building; or
(c) In commercial slaughtering buildings.
Nothing herein shall be construed to permit any use of property in violation of the zoning regulations contained in Title 18 of the City of Anaheim Municipal Code. (Ord. 4188 § 1 (part); November 12, 1980.)
