(a) Street lighting shall be provided upon streetways, thoroughfares and roadways within the boundaries of the City. The full cost of the construction and installation of street lighting, including all fixtures and equipment, shall be the responsibility of the property owner pursuant to the Final Development Plan Submission requirements as set forth in Amherst Codified Ordinance Section 1114.08 as approved by the Planning Commission and Council.
(b) The City shall assume the cost of maintaining such street lighting equipment without equivocation while proprietorship of an electrical distribution system is vested in or remains in the City upon the acceptance of improvements pursuant to Amherst Codified Ordinance Section 1113.10.
