§ 44-141. HEAVY METALS AND TOXIC MATERIALS.
   (A)   No discharge may contain concentration of heavy metals greater than amounts specified in § 44-140(B).
   (B)   This maximum allowable concentrations of heavy metals in terms of mg/l, determined on the basis of individual sampling in accordance with the Standard Methods are:
Arsenic
0.05 mg/l
Barium
5.00 mg/l
Boron
1.00 mg/l
Cadmium
0.05 mg/l
Chromium (total)
0.10 mg/l
Copper
0.10 mg/l
Lead
0.10 mg/l
Manganese
1.00 mg/l
Mercury
0.005 mg/l
Nickel
1.00 mg/l
Selenium
0.05 mg/l
Silver
0.10 mg/l
Zinc
0.30 mg/l
 
   (C)   No other heavy metals or toxic materials may be discharged into public sewer without a permit from the approving authority specifying conditions of pretreatment, concentrations, volumes, and other applicable provisions.
   (D)   Prohibited heavy metals and toxic materials include, but are not limited to:
      (1)   Beryllium;
      (2)   Bismuth;
      (3)   Cobalt;
      (4)   Molybdenum;
      (5)   Uranyl ion;
      (6)   Rhenium;
      (7)   Strontium;
      (8)   Tellurium;
      (9)   Herbicides;
      (10)   Fungicides; and
      (11)   Pesticides.
   (E)   Dilution of waste streams containing toxic materials and metals shall not be construed to be treatment or disposal of the toxic materials or metals and shall not be allowed at any point in the sewer system.
