The taxicab driver’s license shall be of a form prescribed by the City Clerk. The driver’s name, license number, latest photograph of driver, and the expiration date of the license shall be placed on the card, and shall be signed by the licensee. Such license shall be displayed at all times by the driver in a prominent place in the cab he or she may be operating. No driver’s license shall be transferable. In the case of a loss of a license, and upon proper proof and showing thereof, the City Clerk may issue, upon payment of a fee which is on file in the City Clerk’s office, a duplicate, which fact shall be certified to the Police Department.
