(A) There shall be appointed for each Municipal Judge of the Municipal Court an alternate judge with the same qualifications as the Municipal Judge. The appointment shall be for the same term and made in the same manner as the Municipal Judge.
(B) The alternate Municipal Judge shall sit as acting Municipal Judge of the Municipal Court in any case if the Municipal Judge is:
(1) Absent from the Court;
(2) Unable to act as Municipal Judge; or
(3) Disqualified from acting as Municipal Judge in the case.
