(A) Created. There is hereby created the Alva Hospital Board (Hospital Board).
(B) Membership; terms of office. The Hospital Board shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council. One member shall be a member of the medical staff of Share Medical Center, who shall be chosen by the medical staff of Share Medical Center and appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council, and shall serve a term of one year. One member shall be a member of the City Council who shall serve for a period concurrent with his or her term at the time he or she is appointed. Every other member shall serve a term of five years, except the member of the City Council and except the medical member, who shall serve concurrently with his or her term as representative of the medical staff, and until their successors shall be appointed and qualified.
