The City Treasurer shall receive all moneys of the city paid to him or her in accordance with law or ordinance and shall deposit daily all funds coming into his or her hands in such depositories as the Council may designate. He or she shall disburse such funds in the manner provided by applicable law or ordinance. He or she shall keep proper books of account and other financial records, properly recording all financial transactions. He or she shall have such other powers, duties, and functions as may be prescribed by applicable law or ordinance.
