§ 10-329. TIME LIMIT FOR MOVING.
At the time of application for a permit, it shall be the duty of the mover of any building or structure to estimate the reasonable time required for the moving of the building from its present location to its proposed location and shall state in his or her application for a permit what he or she deems to be such reasonable time. The permit shall especially provide that the building shall be, from the time any part of the street is used for the moving of same, cleared from any and all of the streets of the city within a number of days specified therein, Sundays and holidays excepted. The mover shall pay the sum which is on file in the City Clerk’s office for each and every day all or any part of which the building or structure remains on the street in excess of the number of days allowed in the permit, and his or her cash deposit, in addition to his or her bond, shall be made liable for the payment of the amount. Nothing but an act of God shall be a defense against the payment of the sums.
