§ 85.42. TERMS BEGINNING WITH “B.”
   BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT. The Board of Adjustment of the city. BOARD means BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT, unless the context indicates otherwise.

   BOARDING HOUSE. A building other than a hotel where, for compensation and by prearrangement for definite periods, meals or lodgings, or both, are provided for three or more persons but not exceeding 20 persons.

   BUILDING. A structure which is permanently affixed to the ground, has a roof supported by columns or walls, and is used for human, animal, or chattel enclosure. When a portion thereof is completely separated from every other portion by a dividing wall without openings, then each such portion shall be deemed to be a separate BUILDING.

   BUILDING, PRINCIPAL. A building in which is conducted the principal use of the zoning lot on which it is situated. In a residential district, any dwelling shall be deemed to be a PRINCIPAL BUILDING on the lot on which it is situated.

   BULK AND AREA REGULATIONS. Provisions of this appendix controlling the size and shape of zoning lots and the location and bulk of structures thereon. Such regulations include those relating to lot width, lot area, lot coverage, setbacks, and yards.
