§ 8-19. CREATED; MEMBERSHIP; TERMS OF OFFICE; VACANCIES AND THE LIKE.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Alva Airport Commission.
   (B)   The Commission shall consist of five members to be appointed by the Mayor, who shall serve staggered terms of five years each and until their successors shall be appointed and qualified.
   (C)   Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term by the Mayor. Members shall serve without compensation.
   (D)   The Commission shall choose one of its members as Chair and Secretary of the Commission.
   (E)   The Commission may adopt and from time to time amend rules of procedure.
   (F)   The Commission shall be required to meet once a month. Any member absent for two consecutive meetings without acceptable excuse is subject to dismissal by the City Council.
