A. The number of certain adult-use cannabis business establishments in the City at any one time shall be limited as follows:
1. One (1) adult-use cannabis craft grower.
2. One (1) adult-use cannabis cultivation center.
3. Two (2) adult-use cannabis dispensing organizations.
4. One (1) adult-use cannabis processing organization.
5. One (1) adult-use cannabis infuser organization.
6. One (1) adult-use cannabis transporting organization.
7. Two (2) adult-use cannabis lounges.
B. The priority of adult-use cannabis business establishments that qualify to operate in the City pursuant to this section shall be determined by those adult-use cannabis business establishments that first hold a valid cannabis license from the State of Illinois and that also comply with all applicable provisions of the Alton Municipal Code to the satisfaction of the City.
C. The number of licenses issued within the City for the retail sale of cannabis shall be reviewed periodically by the City Council. (Ord. 7851, 9-28-2022)
