2-19-1: ESTABLISHMENT; TERM OF MEMBERS:
   A.   There is hereby established a Riverfront Commission, which shall be composed of seven (7) members, all appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council.
   B.   The first seven (7) members shall be appointed as aforesaid, with terms which shall be as follows: three (3) members for the term of three (3) years, two (2) members for the term of two (2) years and two (2) members for a term of one year. Annually thereafter, upon the expiration of each respective member's term, members shall be appointed to serve three (3) year terms.
   C.   Membership of the Commission shall be composed of an ex-officio member of the City Council and representation from the land development industry, finance and business, river industry, tourism and recreation, the riverfront casino, public safety and a public at large member.
   D.   Notwithstanding the foregoing, all members shall continue to serve until such time as their respective successors are appointed and qualified unless removed by the Mayor. The Mayor shall have the authority to remove any member of the commission at any time for reasons cited by the Mayor in his request to the City Council to approve a resolution of removal of a member of the Commission, which shall be effective upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Aldermen or Alderwomen present at a City Council meeting.
   E.   The said members shall organize and shall elect one of their number president and may elect one vice president, one secretary and one treasurer, or such officers as they, by resolution, may deem appropriate, who shall hold their respective offices for the term of one year, or until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
