The Building Division shall operate as a separate division of the Department of Code Enforcement under the direction of the Director of Department of Code Enforcement. The Building Division shall be led by a Building Coordinator who shall be qualified by education, knowledge and experience in the administration of Building Code enforcement, including but not limited to, the ability to administer and oversee the enforcement of provisions of this Code relating to commercial buildings. The Building Division shall have responsibility for review and issuance of commercial building and demolition permits, construction inspections and review, sign permits and enforcement of Subdivision and Zoning Code requirements of this Code.
